My island, Singapore
From Raffles of Singapore: the musical
by Richard Cleghorn-Brown and Ian Senior
Where the green of the mangrove
Gives way to the sky
Over the gold of the sands...
Where a warm wind blows in
And a river flows by...
My Lion City stands.
For here’s the land that's so dear to me
I proudly say I adore...
Which God enfolded with the sea...
My island—Singapore.
Here our city will flower
As years go by...
Noble and thriving and free!
Here our people will flourish,
Through tempest and storm,
Proudly children of thee!
May they prosper and may they grow,
And be in peace evermore...
May God enfold thee like the sea,
Our island, Singapore...
Our island...Singapore!
